Larry studied Sports and Remedial Massage at the L.S.S.M (London School of Sports Massage) and graduated with honours in January 2004, he is a member of the ISRM and a fully insured practitioner.Since 2004 he has studied other fields of Massage as part of his continual professional development (and continues to do so) i.e. Myofascial Release and Active Isolated Stretching for Postural problems.

Larry believes in getting to the real cause of the problems that arise in the body that create pain and discomfort for us all. He therefore looks at the whole structure of the body to assess the nature of the problem and what is creating it (look for the criminals not the victims).

Larry has recently returned from Sarasota U.S.A. where he studied an Advanced Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) course with the founder, Aaron Mattis (who has now become a personal friend). This method uses stretching techniques to treat soft tissue trauma. “How does it work?” In short, (A.I.S) isolates specific muscle groups where trauma occurs which are gently stretched. The stretch is only held for a maximum of 2 seconds (repeating between 5-10 reps) and then returned to the neutral position allowing the lymphatic flow to increase in the body, thus assisting in the repair of damaged tissue. This method has been successful for all kinds of soft tissue issues and in the U.S.A. has been used for treating stroke victims and people with arthritis. Larry has had very good results using the technique and now utilises this into his treatments.
